Billy Mann: CEO – Green & Bloom/TOPL1NE Music Publishing
Billy Mann is one of the few creatives who continues to be in demand by multiplatinum artists while simultaneously achieving success as an executive and entrepreneur. As songwriter/producer, Mann's credible discography reads like a who's who in music, from being P!nk's longest standing collaborator for the past 10 years to artists like Sting, Cher, John Legend, Robyn, Kelly Rowland, Take That, Jessica Simpson, Art Garfunkel and more. In addition to being a Grammy-nominated songwriter and having sold more than 120 million albums as a creative, Mann also sold his first independent company, Stealth Entertainment to EMI in 2007. Later that year he was appointed President of EMI International and President of Global Artist Management, overseeing artists in 34 countries and championing breakthrough artists like David Guetta, Robyn, Empire of the Sun, Pablo Alboran, Tiziano Ferro, Bebe, and others. In 2010 he was appointed President of Creative for BMG North America and in partnership founded Green & Bloom/TOPL1NE Publishing, a community based music company, which he leads today in partnership with BMG Chrysalis.
In two short years as CEO of Green & Bloom/TOPL1NE Publishing, Billy and his team have signed more than 25 independent artists, producers and songwriters, including Allen Stone, Justin Stanley, Condola Rashad, and Josh Wink. With offices in NY and LA, the company has seen cuts with artists like David Guetta, P!nk, Eric Clapton, Gary Clark Jr., John Legend, Outasight, The Saturdays, Afrojack, Nikka Costa, Kat McPhee and international Top 10 artists like Paty Cantu, Ricki-Lee Coulter, Ivy Quainoo and Seeed.
Mann has served as a consultant to Sony Pictures Television, Zomba, Warner Chappell, Lockerz Inc. and Bliss Legal, and as an elected Governor representing songwriters for the New York Chapter of NARAS. He is a co-founder of the Rema Hort Mann Foundation (www.remahortmannfoundation.org) and sits on the board of Autism Speaks (www.autismspeaks.org). This coming December 2013, Mann will be honored by Tommy Hilfiger, Bob Wright and Autism Speaks for his work advocating for families facing autism. Mann balances his professional life with his passion for his family and community, residing happily in Connecticut.
